How it works for the investigator
How it works for the Investigator
The role of the investigator
Private investigators are the key figures of Fidavo.com since they are the ones who actually carry out the investigation activities. They are independent figures since they can collaborate with all agencies. It is the latter who request the intervention of an investigator in a case they have taken on. The investigator, therefore, does not interact with clients during the investigation, but only with the agency that hires him.
The requirements to join Fidavo.com as an investigator
There are no particular professional or training requirements to operate as a detective investigator and collaborate with Fidavo agencies. The only condition to become a private investigator of the platform is to be free from criminal convictions for intentional crimes, both in civil and judicial matters.
How to register on Fidavo.com
To subscribe to the platform is enough a simple registration. In this first phase, the investigator is asked to also choose an alias for privacy reasons: only after the investigator has connected with an agency, the latter will be able to access his or her complete data.
Registration can only be concluded after a platform operator validates and activates the profile, a process that takes place within 48 hours of registration.
Once the profile has been validated and activated, at the first login the investigator is asked to complete the profile with information that will be needed by the agencies for administrative obligations.
Profile completion step
1. Creation of a 6-digit PIN that allows access to case management, protected by end-to-End (E2E) encryption.
2. Entering residence details and upload of ID and driving license.
3. Adding details on the investigative agent's activity (starting year, areas of specialization investigation, tools provided).
4. Other information to complete the profile such as a presentation note, profile picture, curriculum vitae, photos of the vehicles owned by the investigator, any professional certifications acquired, the IBAN code to which the agencies can send the remuneration.
How to collaborate with agencies
The request for connections with agencies cannot start from the investigator: it is the agency that must request a connection to an investigator, whom can accept, reject the connection and even contact the agency via messaging.
Once the connection with an agency has been activated, the investigator can also interrupt it and remove the agency from active connections.
The collaboration form
After the investigator has accepted an agency's connection request, the collaboration form is automatically generated.
This is a document that officialize the employment relationship between the investigative agency and the investigator and which must be addressed to the agency's reference prefecture.
In the platform, the collaboration form, being a document that regularizes and protects the agency's work, can be downloaded in the Connection panel, corresponding to each investigator who has accepted the connection.
Dashboard
Profile
The profile section can be reached from the profile photo chosen during registration, by clicking on Edit Profile.
This is divided into:
1. Investigator Details, which contains the investigator's personal information;
2. Address and Documents, ie residence information and identity documents.
3. Activities and equipment, details on the investigator's activity and its tools.
4. Other information, which contains the investigator's public information (profile photo, presentation, images of the vehicles.
Please note: only the section of the Profile, the latest, can be changed directly. If the agency wanted to change one specific section of the first 3, it should do so by requesting assistance and therefore opening a Support Ticket.
Connection
In the Connection section the investigator finds the list of active connections and connection requests not yet resolved. Here the investigator can check the details of the connection, the details of the agency, start a conversation with the latter and cancel the collaboration.
Messages
In this section it is possible to send messages to agencies, only to those with a connection has been activated. You can also attach files in messages.
From this area it is also possible to directly open a ticket with assistance.
Calendar
Through the Calendar, the investigator can manage all his activities, in particular:
· in Working hours, you can enter the working hours along all the days of the week;
· in Manage Availability you can add unavailability: in this case, if the investigator has entered a period of unavailability in the calendar, this will not appear in the results if an agency is looking for a new investigator on those dates.
· in Add element, you can add on which days you will work on a particular case.
Case Management
In the Case Management panel, the investigator can chat with the agency that requested his intervention and add elements to the storyline.
The storyline is the chronological order of all the events that compose the case itself. It aims to show the client everything that happens during the investigation, allowing him to have full control over the progress of the case.
Technically, the storyline is made up of elements, such as:
1. Pictures: it can be one or more than one, with a maximum weight of 2MB and in png, jpg, gif, tiff format. The photograph can be taken on the spot (if the device in one is a smartphone) or uploaded from the photos on the PC or library.
2. Media: can be images or audio or video files. The maximum size is 100 MB and the allowed formats are: jpg, gif, jpeg, png, mp3, mp4, avi, mov. As with pictures, media can also be produced on the spot (if the device in one is a smartphone) or loaded from a PC or library.
3. Sightings: this is the exact location where the target was spotted, it consists of simply entering the exact address of the sighting.
4. Text: is the textual description of an event considered important for the principal.
Photographs, media and sightings are geo-localized and visible on the map. Geolocation is automatic in the case of smartphone use since the platform detects the position of the device, or it can be entered manually if the insertion of the element is posthumous to the photographed event or if the platform fails to detect the position of the device. All these elements can also be accompanied by a textual description that specifies some details.
For all four elements the timetable is also specified, which can be the current insertion time in the storyline, if for example the event occurs and is immediately immortalized and inserted in the storyline, or the time when the element can be inserted has been inserted, where the photo or media was previously immortalized and inserted in the storyline subsequentely.
The agency can insert elements in the storyline and accept or reject the elements that the investigator intends to insert (this can be done from the investigator management tab).
From the storyline section it is also possible to offer to the customer an extra product among those he has included in his catalog. This possibility can be very useful where investigative activities for unforeseeable reasons are prolonging beyond the established term, for example an additional day of investigation or the extra km needed to follow the target. The customer will be notified and will be able to accept the proposal or not.
How is the investigator remunerated?
The investigator receives his fee directly from the agency that entrusts him with the case.
