Accepted methods of payment
Fidavo.com accepts several payment options,by credit and debit card, including:
• Visa
• Mastercard
• Master
• American Express
• Maestro International
Your bank may require verification of the payment made by credit or debit card.
Verification process of payment by credit card
Bank cards are one of the most widely used online payment methods with worldwide coverage. There are various types of bank cards and different procedures for processing them.
To complete the credit card payment verification:
• Follow the instructions on your bank’s website.
•The bank may require verification using a unique security code. Check your emails or phone to retrieve the code and enter it when prompted.
• Alternatively, the bank may ask you to verify your purchase using facial recognition or fingerprint technologies, if available.
Verification is required each time you use a credit or debit card to place an order or a new registration and can be required if you change the payment method.
Immediately after, the money is transferred from the issuing bank to the operator account.
At the end of the trade, you will be redirected to Fidavo.com and you will receive confirmation that your order has been successful.
How to make the verification process more fluid.
In order to complete the verification, make sure:
• To be the account holder. The bank will send a code only to the card owner.
• To enter the code correctly, as required. Look for the code in your SMS and mail account, remembering to check your junk folder as well.
• That the bank has your updated personal informations, including your email address and phone number, and that you have downloaded the latest version of the online banking app.
What to do if the verification process fails
If you can’t verify the payment method during the checkout process or you can’t complete the verification correctly, contact your bank. The bank may know why the verification failed. Then, try to complete the process again.
Payment methods not accepted
Some payment methods are not accepted on Fidavo.com:
• Cheques or postal order
• Cash
• Voucher
• International postal money orders
• Postepay
• Paypal account
• SKRILL account
• Cash on delivery
• Bank transfers
How to resolve a rejected payment
To protect your security and privacy, your bank cannot provide Fidavo.com with information about the reason why the payment was refused. Contact your bank directly to resolve these payment problems.
To determine why your payment has been declined, consider the following and, if necessary, contact your bank for more information:
• Have you successfully used the payment method on a previous order?
• Has already been part of your order charged and shipped correctly?
• Do you have funds available in your bank or credit account to cover the cost of the order?
Please Note: If your card has been declined for your order, we will send you an email asking you to resend your card details. If your card is refused again, your order will be cancelled. If you still wish to purchase the item, you will need to place another order.
Keep in mind that only your bank can tell you why payment has been declined. We recommend that you contact your bank to resolve a rejected payment problem also in the following cases:
• You have successfully used the payment method on a previous order.
• Part of your order has already been charged and shipped correctly.
• You have funds available in your bank or credit account to cover the cost of the order.
Please note: If your card has been declined for your order, we will send you an email asking you to resend your card details. If your card is refused again, your order will be cancelled. If you still wish to purchase the item, you will need to place another order.
Unknown charges
If you still can’t find the reason for the charge, contact us by phone, keeping the following information at hand:
• Charge ID: a unique 9-digit alphanumeric code that Customer Service can use to identify the charge. This code can be found on your bank statement.
• Date of charge
• Total charge
• Name, e-mail address and telephone number
• Full number of credit card
Do not send your credit card number by email, because it is not a safe method to transmit informations.
Restrictions on the use of prepaid cards
Fidavo.com allows you to use prepaid cards for most purchases, but there are some restrictions.
The following restrictions apply to Visa, MasterCard and American Express prepaid cards.
• They cannot be used together with credit cards to pay for the same order.
• Fidavo.com does not allow you to enter the three digits of the CVV code that is usually found on the back of some cards. If the code entry is requested by the bank, the payment may not be processed.
• Some prepaid cards may not accept recurring payments. Contact your card issuer if you have any problems with paying with your card.
How to avoid payment scams
Protecting yourself from online fraud is becoming increasingly important. To do so, you need to know about the most common phishing attempts and online scams. If you have any doubts, ask the recipient for more information about the purpose and security of the required payment. Do not send the payment until you are sure of the transaction.
To avoid any scams with payments.
• Do not send money (in cash or by wire transfer, Western Union, PayPal, moneygram, Postepay top-up or otherwise) to a service provider that claims thatFidavo.com will secure the transaction, will refund you the purchase amount if you are not satisfied or will retain your funds as collateral.
• Do not make any payments to collect a lottery or contest win in response to promise to receive a large sum of money.
• Do not make payments in exchange for a secured loan or credit card.
• Do not respond to an offer you receive over the Internet or over the phone if you are not sure it is true.
• Do not make payments to strangers or people whose identity you are unable to verify.
• Do not respond to emails that ask you to provide account data, such as your email address and password. Fidavoc.com will never ask you to provide personal information.
